THE RED SOX ARE CALLING WITH A GREAT OPPORTUNITY!

June 19, 2018

It’s up to EACH ONE OF US to email this to our friends and family and post on social media, daily or weekly until July 13 for a chance to win $10,000 and Red Sox Tickets to support the work we do at The Iris Network, helping people who are blind or visually impaired attain independence and community integration. Check “inclusivity” as the area we support and be sure to type in The Iris Network when you vote, rather than just Iris.

IMPACT

We are pleased to announce that the IMPACT Awards are returning in 2018! Beginning this year and going forward, we will identify a particular area of focus that embodies one of the values of the Red Sox Foundation. The 2018 IMPACT Awards will be granted to nonprofits that have demonstrated a tangible impact to improving social justice, diversity and inclusivity in the New England community.

The Red Sox Foundation introduced this award in 2015 providing Red Sox fans with the opportunity to support their favorite nonprofits in the surrounding New England states (Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont) by nominating organizations in those states to win one of the available grants.

The eligible charitable organization in Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont that receives the most votes will win an IMPACT Award package that includes:

  • A $10,000 charitable contribution to the nonprofit 501(c)(3)
  • On-field check presentation prior to a 2018 Red Sox game
  • In-game visit in the NESN broadcast booth
  • Four (4) premium tickets to a 2018 Red Sox game
  • Recognition on redsox.com and RedSoxFoundation.org
  • A custom Red Sox jersey

In addition, the eligible charitable organizations in Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont that receive the second and third most votes will receive a $3,000 and $2,000 donation respectively along with additional benefits.

Please visit www.redsox.com/IMPACT and go to VOTE NOW to cast a vote to your favorite charity that have demonstrated a tangible impact to improving social justice, diversity and inclusivity in the New England community.

The voting periods for each state will end as follows:

Rhode Island, Vermont: June 27, 2018 at 11:59 P.M.
Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire: July 13, 2018 at 11:59 P.M.

Votes submitted for a particular state after its corresponding end date will not be counted. If you have any questions about this new program, please email redsoxfoundation@redsox.com

We encourage all qualifying nonprofits to build a social media campaign to drive votes. Encourage employees, friends, family, donors, partners - anyone can vote for a qualifying nonprofit! It's up to YOU to find, ask, and drive more votes for your organization! Simply visit www.RedSox.com/IMPACT to cast your vote.

To be eligible to receive an IMPACT award, an organization must be a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity in good standing, located in the surrounding New England states (Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont) and servicing New England residents, with a mission that focuses on improving diversity, inclusivity, and social justice in our New England communities. The Red Sox Foundation retains all rights to review and approve each nonprofit for the grant. It is our sole discretion to determine an eligible organization.
