The Iris Network, a community-based nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization with a mission of helping people who are visually impaired or blind to attain independence and community integration, seeks a mature, flexible and responsible individual capable of exercising sound independent judgment to serve as the full-time Director of Resident Services at Iris Park Apartments.  The Director of Resident Services is responsible for growth, leadership, supervision, and management of our 24-hours/day, 365-days/year Resident Services Program and provides direct health care services and appropriate referrals to those residents receiving services through the program. 

Qualifications:  Must have a BA/BS in either (1) social services or human services field and experience working with people with disabilities or individuals who are visually impaired or blind; or (2) an allied field with significant experience working in a residential setting with people who are visually impaired or blind who also have other disabilities &/or significant health concerns.  Must have a demonstrated ability to recruit, train and supervise personnel, and must have refined organizational, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.  A current CRMA certificate, or the ability to qualify for it within 90 days of the date of hire, is required.  Must also have the ability and willingness to gain thorough knowledge of low income housing and assisted living facility regulations, policies, and procedures, and to become eligible to serve as the state licensed Affordable Assisted Living Facility Administrator of Iris Park Apartments within 5 years of the date of hire. 

Duties:  The Director is responsible for management of all aspects of operations of the Resident Services Program, including, but not limited to: recruiting, hiring, supervising and scheduling of all Resident services staff, on-call coverage and provision of direct services; supervising administration and provision of recreation and meal services; implementing and adhering to applicable low income housing rules, policies, and regulations as well as maintaining compliance with state licensing requirements and relevant accreditation standards; interacting with health care providers for residents on a case-by-case basis and providing appropriate referral services to the residents; general supervision as well as direct provision of resident care services; working in collaboration with Avesta Housing and Iris Network vision rehabilitation staff to promote the program and recruit appropriate residents to maximize the number of residents receiving services through the program; developing and successfully managing program budgets;  conducting program evaluation and monitoring program effectiveness, quality, accountability and resident safety; and functioning collaboratively as an integral member of the agency’s management team
