17th White Cane Awareness Walk
Walk This Way!

The White Cane Awareness Walk is an event organized to promote a better understanding of Maine’s White Cane Law and to increase public awareness of independent and safe travel for people with visual impairment or blindness who use white canes or guide dogs.

Register today and join hundreds of supporters for our 17Th Annual White Cane Awareness Walk through the Old Port on Saturday morning, October 13th -- and raise money for a cause that gets results you can really see! Proceeds will help support Iris Network’s programs; every bit counts!

The day will include a mile walk around Portland that starts and ends at Monument Square. Come walk with us and enjoy free food and music. The Iris Network and other local nonprofits will have information and educational materials on display. Prizes for individuals and teams that raise the most money will be awarded. Please join us for this fun-filled event!
