Text Box: Greetings to all friends of the Iris Network.
I Trust that all of you are enjoying this unusually mild winter and, like me, are looking forward to the spring.  We are moving into the season of new beginnings, and so it seems fitting that this is my   last letter to you as president of the Iris Network.
It has been a wonderful experience to be at the helm of this important and dynamic organization for more than 10 years.  I wish I could thank each one of you personally for your contributions during my tenure—for your ideas and service, for your   financial support, and for your kindness and encouragement.  Instead, please accept this message as a personal "thank you" from me,  for your participation in the delivery of life-changing services to people in need.
Like me, I am sure you are proud that the Iris     Network continues to diversify, refine, and strengthen its service to people across Maine  who are visually impaired and blind, and that we also continue to educate the public about living with vision loss.  This issue of our newsletter alone provides ample evidence that the work we do changes lives, meets very important needs, and makes our society stronger and better.
Our Board of Directors is currently in the process of selecting a new President and CEO, and will surely select a very competent individual with new talent and vision to direct the Iris Network into the future, and develop more opportunities for the organization to provide Support, Empowerment and Independence to its constituents.
I urge you all to stay a part of the Iris Network and continue to support its mission and goals.  Your friendship and help means the world, and makes a positive difference in many people's lives.
With best regards and best wishes for the next 100 years of service provided by the Iris Network,

                                       Steven Obremski,
                                       President / CEO
